Sucessful Factory Acceptance Test for ADL

Lyras has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of a new Raslysation™ Castor unit for Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Representatives from ADL and Arla Foods Inc., Canada recently visited Lyras to witness the Factory Acceptance Test, which confirmed that the system meets the agreed technical and operational requirements prior to delivery.

Following the successful test, the Raslysation™ Castor unit has been prepared for shipment to Canada, where it will be installed at ADL’s production facility in Prince Edward Island.

Supporting Brine treatment for cheese production

Once commissioned, the system will become an integral part of ADL’s brine treatment process for Havarti and Feta cheese production. The unit will support effective microbiological control, consistent brine quality, and efficient dairy processing.

The successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test marks an important milestone in the project and reflects the close collaboration between Lyras, ADL, and Arla Foods Inc., Canada throughout the design and manufacturing process.

Lyras would like to thank Hans Sommer, Site Director at Arla Foods Inc., Canada, Dylan Foley, Maintenance Technician at ADL, and Josh Millar, Plant Manager at ADL, for visiting our facilities and for the constructive collaboration during the project.

We appreciate the trust ADL has placed in Lyras and look forward to seeing the Raslysation™ Castor unit become operational in Canada.

About Raslysation™ by Lyras

Raslysation is a patented non-thermal liquid processing technology that can replace conventional pasteurization and microfiltration.

Raslysation inactivates microorganisms while preserving the natural proteins and vitamins of the product.

The process significantly reduces energy and water consumption, saving 60–90% of the energy and 60–80% of the water compared to traditional treatment methods, as well as reducing chemical use, delivering substantial CO₂ savings and improved product quality and food safety. Raslysation is used across many applications such as dairy, whey, brine, and process water, helping producers cut their carbon footprint and costs.
