Another important milestone for sustainable whey processing in Germany!

Published On: May 27, 2026Categories: Dairy, News

Together with the team from Altmark-Käserei Uelzena, we have successfully completed the FAT of the Raslysation™ Castor system for whey treatment and we are now looking forward to the system arriving at the dairy in Germany.

It is inspiring to see German dairies leading the way toward more sustainable and efficient production. With Raslysation™, heat-based processing is replaced by a solution that significantly reduces energy and water consumption while preserving product quality.

A big thank you to the entire team at Altmark-Käserei Uelzena GmbH for the excellent collaboration.

We are proud of what we have achieved together so far and look forward to the next exciting phase.

Great to share this moment together with Lutz Hermann, Stefan Wagner, and Laura-Laureen Kaufmann at the Raslysation™ Castor system.

About Raslysation™ by Lyras

Raslysation is a patented non-thermal liquid processing technology that can replace conventional pasteurization and microfiltration.

Raslysation inactivates microorganisms while preserving the natural proteins and vitamins of the product.

The process significantly reduces energy and water consumption, saving 60–90% of the energy and 60–80% of the water compared to traditional treatment methods, as well as reducing chemical use, delivering substantial CO₂ savings and improved product quality and food safety. Raslysation is used across many applications such as dairy, whey, brine, and process water, helping producers cut their carbon footprint and costs.
