Automation Engineer

At Lyras, we are looking for a new colleague who is passionate about taking responsibility for executing automation projects from design to commissioning, in close collaboration with our dedicated Development and Automation teams. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in our project organization and help ensure our customers gain maximum value from our technology.

Your role as Automation Engineer at Lyras

As Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for executing automation projects in collaboration with the project team and customers. Together with the rest of the team, you will ensure on-time delivery and seamless, optimized integration of the automation solution.

Your key responsibilities

Design and manage automation solutions for feed units (process units), including customer-specific customizations when required, and ensure timelines and budgets are met.
Program and configure PLC systems, develop and maintain standardized automation software, and prepare integration with customer SCADA systems.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Automation, project managers, and customers to ensure successful commissioning and handover of the feed unit and Raslysation equipment.
Provide support and troubleshooting on existing systems.
Prepare electrical technical documentation.
Professionally represent Lyras in interactions with customers and partners.

We imagine that you…

Have several years of experience working with automation and control of process equipment, preferably from the food or processing industries.
Hold a relevant education in electrical engineering or automation, such as Automation Technologist or similar relevant.
Have solid knowledge and hands-on experience with SCADA and PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
Are experienced with technical documentation, P&ID and flow diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Are curious and passionate about technology and proactively seek solutions to challenges.
Can communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical specialists and non-technical colleagues.
Thrive in an independent role and are motivated by creating solutions.
Speak and write fluent English.
Are driven and motivated by achieving results as part of a team.
Are flexible and open to travel 30–90 days per year when it creates value.
