Thermal vs. non-thermal

Thermal treatment has been the established preservation method for more than 150 years. The trusted method, which is used in pasteurization, has become so, because heat has been known to be effective in killing harmful bacteria that can lead to diseases like listeriosis and typhoid fever.

Raslysation, however, proves that bacteria within transparent and opaque liquids can be rendered harmless without the use of heat. UV light will completely substitute for thermal pasteurization. Using the raslysation technology enables the removal of most thermization and pasteurization steps, except the legally required ones.

Our specialized targeted light filters ensure that only the unwanted microorganisms are inactivated when the liquid passes through the system, resulting in the gentlest treatment possible. This non-thermal UV treatment assures that proteins and vitamins are being preserved.
